August has kicked our collective tushies. Lots of activity, a lot of time driving all over the place to visit friends and family, parties, 90+ degree weather, school changes - all worked to keep us on the move.
Found Quinn asleep in his bed after school one afternoon, dead to the world.
One Monday I made my usual call to Erick from work. He told me that he thought he was going to pick Quinn up from school at noon and take him downtown for a Portland Beavers baseball game with his coworker Tucker and his son Rowen. Now, understand, my husband is not usually the type to do something on a whim. A whim on a Work Day. I was skeptical but these pictures proved me wrong.
What the heck is the point of going to the ball park if you don't get drinks, hot dogs, and all that?
It was over 90 degrees so the boys got a little pooped on and off, between innings and snacks.
Quinn has decided that he is a photographer and takes the camera to show his perspective of what's going on. He's not obsessed with cars. Nope. Not at all.
Closeups of clothing and shoes were also his focus.
Our pal, Rowen.
Slushie, anyone?
Now this, THIS is a strange coincidence. Notice the name on the pitcher for the Albequerque Isotopes. Schlichting. My maiden name. Spelled correctly. What are the odds??!!
A self portrait.
All in all, a fine day.
They came home tired out, all rosey from the warmth and the long train ride back, but a fun day for father and son.
