More Christmas Stuff

Part of our holiday plans was to visit the Grotto in Northeast Portland.  On the grounds of  62-acre Catholic shrine and botanical garden , the Festival of Lights is an annual event.  We met up with friends of ours and their kids.  This was right inside the entrance:

We had to wait a little for the others to arrive.  It was a tad chilly, and Someone wasn't liking it too much.

 The had a petting zoo, of course.  Quinn went in several times.  The first one was just a 'test run' to check it out - he didn't actually pet anything until trip #2.

Quinn was fascinated by the projected snowflakes on the path.  We stood here for a long time.  People had to go around us.  We were an obstruction.

It was beautiful, and everyone got some very yummy hot chocolate.  Home in time for a warm bed and fire.
