As a treat Quinn got to toast Independence Day with a beer.
As always, Quinn located the random toys laying about and claimed it for his own. It now lives with us, rust, sharp corners and all. Can you say tetanus??
Quinn tried to give the boys some tips on using the smokers.
By this time Quinn was ready for a nap, but some eating needed to take place.
We got home from our little cookout and Quinn's two nieces and my brother showed up and hour later. Having not slept the night before I opted out of fireworks and sent them all off in search of the fun. They were back in a hour. Oregon City decided to cancel their fireworks due to lack of volunteers. Hum. Nice to let everyone know. But we shouldn't have fretted, because apparently our neighborhood and those around us are a haven of fun and illegal fireworks. We had at least five different mini-shows to choose from and all we had to do is sit in the cul de sac. Pretty impressive.

The next day, after having been up far too late, we chose not to do anything too exciting. The girls and their dad were exhausted from the trip they took prior to coming to Portland, so another activity wasn't needed. We ended up in the pool again although the day was not as hot as the two previous days.
