They went downtown (such as it is) and participated in a Santa Day. There were contests, coloring, "gingerbread" house decorating, and other activities for kids. Of course, it was below freezing and everything was outside, but it didn't seem to matter much.
Quinn was more interested in eating the candy for his gingerbread house than actually putting it to use.
I got home a few minutes before they did, and helped peel Quinn out of his cold weather gear. His hands were red and frozen, but he was more interested in showing me all the goodies he had picked up and talking about the prizes he won.
Since it was also my birthday, E made dinner and then we decorated angel food cupcakes. When asked what they should bake for Mama's birthday, Quinn said "Cupcakes!" and being the good Husband that he his, he figured fat-free angel food was the way to go. So we frosted with whipped cream and decorated with fruit, sprinkles, and nuts.
All in all, a fine day.
