Dash to Astoria

This past Sunday Quinn and I took a quick trip to Astoria to visit our friend, Doris.

It was rainy and cloudy all day, and I caught this rainbow on our way - it was actually the biggest rainbow I've ever seen and seemed to stretch from one side of the Columbia River to the next.

At Doris' house, Quinn was intrigued by the ladder up to the attic. He hustled up it but then couldn't get down; he's more like a cat every day. It took a little work to get him to come down the first time and the next couple of times he got a bit braver. Otherwise he might still be there.

In the attic Doris has one of those old Fisher Price schools. You know, the little people with circles for legs? There was the swings and desks etc. Quinn was quite amused by it all.

We only stayed a few hours and then headed home. Quinn made me promise that next time we'll 'hang out longer'. He knows a good person when he sees them.
